Feedback Policy

Every GetItAppraised user has a Feedback Rating made up of comments from other users, a sort of "e-reputation".  Each feedback consists of a comment, which can be positive, negative, or neutral, along with a rating of between 1 and 5, a sort of "satisfaction scale".  The Feedback area can answer questions you may have about how a person has done business with others at GetItAppraised.  To leave feedback for a user simply return to the auction listing and click "Leave Feedback on Seller" or "Leave Feedback on Buyer" depending on which party you are.  To view your own feedback just click on My Portfolio at the top of any GetItAppraised page.  To view a seller's feedback, you simply click on the number next to the User ID on any auction page.

Beside each member's User ID you will see a number in parentheses ( ) next to a series of star icons, which represent the user's average Feedback Rating.  The number coincides with the number of times users have left feedback for that person.  Each time you are the winning bidder or seller in an GetItAppraised auction, you can give feedback to your trading partner.  Multiple comments from a single user will only count one time.

You get positive comments simply by exercising good trading practices.  The more positive feedback you receive, the better your "e-reputation" becomes!

We strongly encourage you to try to resolve any problems BEFORE leaving negative feedback, and to always leave comments about a specific transaction within 90 days after the end of the auction as items will be available on our system for at least that length of time.  Once the auction is removed, you will not be able to leave feedback on it.

To ensure that the Feedback Rating system is used for its proper purpose, GetItAppraised will remove feedback in a few limited situations.  If you believe that another user has left feedback for you which meets any of the below criteria, you should contact support@getitappraised.com and request a review. 

Circumstances For Review and/or Removal of Feedback

  • The feedback has no connection whatsoever to a transaction conducted on GetItAppraised.

  • A judge's ruling or court order finds that the feedback is slanderous, libelous, defamatory or otherwise illegal.

  • The feedback contains a link to another page, picture or script.

  • The feedback contains profanity, vulgar language or adult material.

  • The feedback contains personal information about a user (ie. address, name, phone number).

  • The feedback was left by a minor or by a user who provided GetItAppraised with false contact information and cannot be contacted.

  • The feedback is part of an apparent campaign (multiple feedbacks left by the same user) to harass another user.
